The Pune Literary Fest is an exciting and interactive platform in Pune for writers, publishers and readers. Frankfurter Buchmesse, the world’s leading venue for printed and digital content – from novels to children’s books to scientific databases celebrates its 70th year anniversary in 2018.The festivalwhich the world looks forward to where publishing experts meet up with partners from the technology and creative industries such as film and games – to exchange ideas, be inspired, try out new technologies and cultivate contacts. The fair is organised by Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH, a subsidiary of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association. More than 7300 exhibitors from over 100 countries and more than 3 lakh visitors took part in FBM 2017. Held in Frankfurt, Germany the festival is going to be held from 10th-14th October this year. The focus of interest or the guest of honour as it is better known for the year 2018, is Georgia. A special literary programme will be organised for the occasion (readings, arts exhibitions, public discussion panels, theatre productions, and radio and TV programmes). A special exhibition hall is also set up for the Guest of honour, and the major publishing houses are present at the fair.
Marché International des Programmes de Communication or International Market of Communications Programmes (MIPCOM) as it is known will be in held in Cannes as every year, from 15th-18th October, 2018.Prior to MIPCOM, a spin-off event known as MIPJunior is held every year, which is devoted exclusively to the children's television industry, which will be held on 13th & 14th October this year. Being heralded as one of the biggest events in TV industry, it’s primarily attended by representatives of broadcasters and TV studios as well as celebrities to promote programmes. MIPCOM also hosts a Country of honour every year, this year being China. The Country of Honour programme will include conference panel discussions on the Chinese market during MIPJunior and MIPCOM, multiple showcases of the latest Chinese programmes, a Chinese-themed Opening Night Welcome Reception, a look into the hottest shows from China in the popular Fresh TV presentation and the largest-ever China Pavilion.
